Tekla Labs is an online project, that provides DIY guides for making laboratory equipment. It was created after it was found that research labs in Latin America lacked basic tools such as microscopes. Tekla Labs aims to link researchers requiring lab equipment with science and engineering graduate students or other scientists who already build their own kit. The network also aims to publish easy-to-follow design documents and protocols to verify equipment quality.
