About: A Public health Specialist (MPH) with 11 years of hands-on experience in non-emergency primary health care services as a civil servant with proven clinical skills and training from Uganda. Three (3) years of extensive international Public Health experience including, communicable and non-communicable disease control and prevention, health program coordination, rapid health assessments, development of action plans, response to Health emergencies, monitoring, and evaluation, health strategic development, and programming with International NGOs implementing UN programs. Currently working as a Public Health Officer for Emergency Public Health Response at Uganda Red Cross Society Programs. Previously overseeing the implementation of a Refugee Health Program as a Public Health Team Leader in South Sudan. I served as a health program Manager at ACROSS in South Sudan and gained rich experience of Project Development, Budget planning and control, coordination, project monitoring, and evaluation, humanitarian assistance for emergencies and disasters responses including health system strengthening in unstable countries especially in post-conflict & transitional areas. Besides, I am currently managing a Ministry of Health and IFRC led Health emergency program in Uganda focusing on COVID-19, Road Traffic Injuries, and other national disaster responses. Previously managed a high level national and international refugee emergency response mainly medical referral program for 12 refugee camps in South Sudan and successfully piloted a medical referral database tool for Sub-Saharan Africa South Sudan as one of the pilot sites. I have technical skills in research with 3 publications, a Journal reviewer at Biomedical Central journal of Public Health, and a UNV tutor at Peoples University. Lastly, I own a Masters degree in Public Health from Texila American University/University of Central Nicaragua, BSc in Public Health from Cavendish University and Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Clinical Ophthalmology. Also trained with certificates of award in research by Geneva foundation of medical education and research a WHO collaboration center in research on Human reproduction.
