Special Issue: From our colleagues at The African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM)

Call for Papers: Submission deadline: 31 January 2016

The laboratory is an essential part of the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and control of tuberculosis (TB). Today innovative and increasing laboratory service-delivery developments do exist amongst local TB laboratory programmes and partners in Africa. However, it is necessary to establish appropriate lines of communication amongst these local laboratories, clinicians and TB control officials to expedite reporting, which can avoid delayed or inappropriate treatment and missed opportunities to prevent transmission within the regions.

The primary goal of this special issue is to exchange information on the latest fundamental advances in local laboratory service-delivery networks working with TB diagnostics (improved case detection) and TB diagnosis (linkage to treatment). You can read the whole call for papers for the African Journal of Laboratory Medicine here.
