These Microbiology clinical laboratory SOPs have been kindly shared by the Oxford-Wellcome Thailand-Laos Major Overseas Programme (MOP).

Please note that these SOPs will need to be reviewed and adapted to suit local conditions before adopting them for use in a different laboratory. For some of the procedures there are two different SOPs that can be compared to create your own. Please reference Global Health Laboratories when you use them.

Click in the links on the right to download the different SOPs.

In the American Society for Microbiology MicrobeLibrary webpage you can find some other useful laboratory protocols.  They cover standard laboratory tests and include the procedural steps as well as the purpose, theory, history, safety considerations, tips and comments, and references. Click here to see the ASM protocols.
